The California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Los Angeles District (LAD) represents the local professional organization of Registered Dietitians (RDs), Diet Technicians-Registered (DTRs), dietetic interns, and nutrition students residing in Los Angeles County. With approximately 50 board positions and over 900 followers, LAD strives to provide members with opportunities to network, obtain Continuing Professional Education Units, volunteer in the community, and promote the dietetic profession.

Anet Piridzhanyan, MS, RDN
LAD President

Anet Piridzhanyan is a registered dietitian at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she works to enhance employee wellness as well as the nutritional status of the pediatric population. She provides her expertise in community and clinical settings, specializing in childhood obesity and feeding therapy.


Dr. Mandy Nezami DrPH, RDN
LAD President Elect

Dr. Nezami is a Public Health Nutritionist. Her current research interest is associations of dairy and beverage consumption on overweight and obesity. She has over 17 year of experience working in management, education and leadership.

David Wiss MS RDN
LAD Sponsorship Co-Chair

David Wiss is the founder of Nutrition In Recovery, which specializes in: Addictions, Eating Disorders, Mental Health, Body Image, and General Wellness. He has shared his expertise with numerous eating disorder and addiction facilities throughout the greater Los Angeles area. He now is pursuing his PHD at UCLA.

Shelby Bublitz MS, RDN
LAD Sponsorship Co-Chair

Shelby Bublitz is a registered dietitian with a background in education. Her love of science allows her to translate the sometimes elusive nature of nutrition into a tangible understanding. Her favorite part of being a dietitian is seeing clients having that “aha moment” where knowledge meets personal understanding. She works at Nutrition in Recovery where the emphasis is helping clients recover their mental health through nutrition. 

Christine Kim MS, RDN
LAD Treasurer

Christine Kim is a Los Angeles-based dietitian who has clinical and community experience with patients of various complex medical needs but has a special emphasis in the pediatric and NICU population. She is passionate about helping children thrive and be at their nutritional best.


Luba Rosenblum, MS, RDN
LAD Treasurer-Elect

Luba Rosenblum is a registered dietitian working with families in the Venice Family Clinic's Children First Early Head Start Program. She is also a co-founder of Pacific Nutrition Partners, a private nutrition counseling service. Luba believes that eating well is a powerful way to take care of yourself and those you love. She appreciates the opportunity to join others in their journey toward improved health and wellness through nutrition.


Eva Desserre Weston RDN, NBC-HWC
Fundraising Committee Co-Chair & San Grabiel Valley Extension Coordinator

Eva is a newly minted registered dietitian nutritionist as well as a national board-certified health and wellness coach, a credential held by few as she participated in the very first national medical board exam offered for health and wellness coaches (2017).  She previously worked in skilled nursing as a DTR. She has been an active LAD board member going on 3 consecutive years.  Her favorite role in LAD is SGV area coordinator- they are just a fun group! 


Chelsea Marquez MS, RDN
LAD Social Media Co-Chair: LinkedIn

Chelsea Marquez is the Social Media Co-Chair: LinkedIn, she has over 10 years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian, she is currently working at Keck Medicine of USC in Bariatrics.



Marilyn Magaram Center

The mission of the Marilyn Magaram Center (MMC) is to enhance and promote health and well-being through research, education and services in food science, nutrition and dietetics.

Nutrition in Recovery 

Nutrition in Recovery is dedicated to the promotion of both physical and nutritional wellness as primary components of addiction recovery to contribute to positive long-term recovery outcomes.
